We invite you to retreat in a Reason To Party event like you've never experienced before. Combining art, design, music, and fashion, we're showcasing RTP's creativity. The newly renovated W Hotel will play host to this land of fantasy. RTP’s Winter Gala will transform an elegant cocktail reception into a dreamscape destination right before your eyes.
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom recognized Reason to Party on
December 16th in a proclamation on behalf of the city and county
of San Francisco.
Newsom hailed the young non-profit. "RTP has been leading the way
as a 'best practices' model and has represented true San
Francisco values," said Newsom. "It has been an innovative asset
to the City."
Newsom presented the award to founders Ari Kalfayan and Okko
Grippando before RTP's holiday party to formally acknowledge the
impact the organization has had on the area.

of the Confession event last Sunday at Vessel. More than 200
showed up to the party, and the DJs kept us dancing til the
finish.

On Sunday Love Honor Cherish teamed up with San Francisco
nonprofit Reason to Party to welcome viral activist Zach Wahls
and NOH8 co-founders Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley to a swanky
marriage equality fundraiser at Vessel in Union Square.
Proving you don’t need a fake ID to get into a club if you’re the
guest of honor, 20-year-old Wahls reaffirmed his already
well-documented eloquence by charming the crowd of well-dressed
gay men with stories about being raised by two moms:

Love Honor Cherish Foundation has taken on the social issue of
our time, marriage equality by educating the public about LGBT
issues and the impact that denying marriage equality has on
society and its harm to LGBT families. We are also proud to
announce that we have partnered with the No H8 Campaign as our
media sponsor who will help with promotion and awareness for our
January 22 event in support of marriage equality.
Reason to Party brings together Bay Area communities and
businesses to raise funds and awareness for local charities and
nonprofits by doing what we do best, having fun! Attendees
support underserved populations in the San Francisco Bay Area as
well as our new approach to nightlife.
Nonprofits benefit from our impressive track record and
experienced event-planning staff. Our creative team has developed
successful and engaging event concepts that inspire audiences and
keep them coming back for more.
Some of the 200 audience members are busy pushing social change
as well. Arsen Ari Kalfayan, who by day runs business
development for cloud labor start-up CrowdFlower (formerly
called Dolores Labs), co-founded a nonprofit called
Reason To Party that throws affordable
fundraiser parties for a variety of causes, from an AIDS
hospice to the San Francisco Food Bank. Kalfayan's parties
raise thousands of dollars from 20- and 30-somethings who
normally couldn't afford to attend the fancy black-tie
fundraisers held by more traditional charities.
