Tomorrow’s the big night: an open bar, live music & art await
you. 100% proceeds will go to Verge Center for the Arts. Starts
at 9PM for General Admission / 8PM for VIP.
KCRA featured Reason to Party in a live segment this morning.
Katie and Mac discussed the event. Verge Artist Ilah Rose
Cookston painted a live portrait to give viewers a sense of the
live art exhibit experience and an opportunity to meet the
artists who will benefit from the event.
What type of art brings together the beauty of the human body,
music, and creative interpretation? Dance.
Come sip cocktails all night long while you enjoy exclusive dance
performances by CORE Dance Collective. This will be only one of
the many types of art you will be able to experience and support
to at Reason to Party’s An Art Affair this Friday at the Elks
Tower in Downtown Sacramento.
Edgy and provocative, Verge artist Aleksander Bohnak’s
installation at this Friday’s Reason to Party event invites
guests to become part of the art! Incorporating creative
objects, lighting, and large-scale video projections, Alek’s art
is sure to entrance, delight, and provide a window into the
remarkable talent supported by the Verge Center for the
Arts.
SAN FRANSCISO — Reason to Party donated over $21,000 to Larkin
Street Youth Services in San Francisco — a game-changing check
that will change the lives of homeless youth.
This is what happens when we come together as a community.
Please, join us making a difference again.
According to Reason to Party Co-founder Ari Kalfayan, “it is a
very proud day, [made possible] through the hard work of 30+
volunteers, 20+ staff and 850 guests.”
San Francisco is not a city that needs a formal excuse to let
loose and have a good time. A growing local organization,
however, is providing the community with a feel-good cause to
rally, err, rather party behind.
Reason to Party Sacramento’s Co-Founder Mac Clemmens and
Sacramento Splash’s Executive Director Emily Butler took to the
airwaves to promote Friday’s Gala.
Reason to Party is offering its signature
gala-style event and is prepared to rally more than 1,000
partiers—and the entire Sacramento region is taking notice.
According to Reason to Party Sacramento Co-Founder Catherine
Mattesich, KCRA, Good Day Sacramento, KVIE, Fox 40, and Univision
have either covered the gala or are scheduled to cover it this
week.
SACRAMENTO, CA — Key community leaders toured the Old Sugar Mill
to solidify plans, garner support, and galvanize the Sacramento
community to “Embrace the Elements” this Friday.
The team then regrouped in midtown at Zocalo to celebrate and
rally support for the gala. More than 40 leaders joined and
pledged to reach out to their friends and networks.
This morning, Teo Torres of KCRA Channel 3 interviewed Ryan
Brough of Reason to Party and Emily Butler of Sacramento Splash
to tell the story of Reason to Party and its novel approach to
fundraising: hosting cutting-edge events that engage emerging
leaders. Watch the

Our Winter Gala attracted more than 700 guests to raise $7k for Maitri SF. We partied hard at the W Hotel with décor by Blueprint Studios and lighting by Entire Productions. Dylan McIntosh of BLVD kept the crowd dancing til morning in a glowing fantasyland of light and luxury.
Beautiful images of the beautiful people who turned out to celebrate the 2012 Winter Gala at the W Hotel!
On Saturday, February 4, 2012, the Sacramento-based art movement Tapigami™ debuts its first installation of 2012 at the W Hotel (181 3rd Street, San Francisco) for Reason to Party’s 2012 Winter Gala, benefitting Maitri. Tapigami™’s flagship piece “Tree of Life” anchors the fundraiser’s VIP lounge, which also includes a large Tapigami™ garden that grows into an entire three-dimensional city, complete with skyline.
On Feb. 4th, we’re creating a world of lush fantasy and
entertainment as we transform The W for our Winter Gala.
Featuring an art installation by Tapigami (yes, tape-igami),
exclusive VIP section, a blacklight area, and even lasers, this
will be one of our best parties of the year!
Come and support Maitri
AIDS hospice, based here in SF. Read more below.
DJing our Confession Launch on Sunday, January 22nd, we’ll have A
Plus D – as in Adrian & Mysterious D. Known mostly as
galvanizers of the international mashup scene, since 2001 they
have forged a hard-earned reputation as crowd-pleasing selectors
who not only shamelessly bridge the gap between genres, but
between the alternative and the mainstream.
They were rated Best DJs in SF by SF Weekly, and their local
mashup party Bootie SF has now spread like a dance fever
across the country, with mashup parties now in L.A., New York,
and beyond.
Thanks to the huge crowd of fun, young professionals who turned
out for our launch event, Reason to Party Sacramento will donate
$2,726 to support outstanding youth leadership programs at
Cottage Housing, Inc.
“It exceeded our expectations,” stated Reason to Party Sacramento
co-founder Catherine Mattesich, a new attorney and Sacramento
native who managed logistics for the successful launch
event.
We apologize for the earlier e-mail referring to “tomorrow’s”
