Together We’ve Raised over $170,000 for Bay Area Charities
Thank you for giving your time, making donations, and coming out to support such amazing local causes.

With the help and enthusiasm of thousands of Bay Area residents, wonderful partners like 7×7, dot429, and Hannig Law Firm, and the many local non-profits we’ve come together to support, Reason to Party has been able to donate over $170,000 to help: man suicide hotlines for at-risk youth via The Trevor Project; plant and maintain more than a hundred trees in and around the city with matching help from Google for Friends of the Urban Forest; provide care to the terminally ill with Maitri; help maintain beaches with Save the Waves; feed members of our community in need of a meal with the SF-Marin Food Bank; shelter and mentor homeless teens with Larkin Street and At the Crossroads; help our low-income and immigrant communities with Dolores Street Community Services; and more.

But the money we raise and the fun we have at our parties is just a first step designed to introduce us each, as individuals, to many causes so that we might find one that speaks to us enough to volunteer something more important than money: our time. While charitable giving is an American past-time, only 1/5th of Americans volunteer their time, and we are on a mission to improve that statistic. So whether you’re passionate about surfing, mentoring, or feeding the hungry, we hope one of our charities inspires you.

Again, thank you for giving your time, for making your generous donations, and for coming out to celebrate the amazing and diverse communities we have here in the Bay Area, and the great things we can do when we come together in support of a great cause!
